ONGC Scholarships include the ONGC Foundation Scholarship for Financially Weaker General Category Students, the ONGC Foundation Scholarship Scheme for OBC Category Students, and the ONGC Scholarship for Meritorious SC/ST Students. Each year, applicants will be awarded Rs. 48000/-. Students taking professional degree courses will be eligible for the scholarship. Selection Process
The eligible candidates will be chosen by the ONGC Foundation based on several parameters, including:
- The candidate will be chosen based on their overall performance in the qualifying examination required for each degree program.
- Candidates with minimum annual family income will be chosen over students with equivalent grades in the qualifying examination.
- Children from below-poverty-line (BPL) families will be given priority, and other students will be accepted only if a sufficient number of students from BPL families who meet the eligibility criteria are not available.

Terms and Conditions
Some of the significant terms and conditions for the scholarship are as follows:
- Female students are eligible for 50% of the scholarships.
- Candidates should apply for their respective categories only i.e., general, SC/ST or OBC
- Students must give active bank account information that will not be modified once they have been selected.
- To keep the scholarship, students must achieve a minimum of 60%, or 6 grade points out of ten, on each year’s semester exams.
- The chosen candidate cannot be receiving any other scholarship or financial help from any other source.
- A caste certificate issued by appropriate government bodies must be shown.
- Only full-time normal courses are eligible for the award.
