There are a lot of objectives that will be fulfilled by the authorities through the development of the Begum Hazrat Mahal scholarship. The main motive behind the implementation of this scholarship by the organization of Maulana Azad Education Foundation and Ministry of Minority Affairs is to provide proper educational services to the women of the society who are not able to pursue education due to societal pressure and also weak financial background. Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria to be eligible for this scholarship:-
- This scholarship is only available for girls.
- The students belonging to six notified Minority Communities i.e. Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Parsis are eligible.
- The annual income of the student’s parents/guardians from all sources does not exceed Rs.2.00 lakh.
- The scholarship will be awarded to minorities’ girl students who are studying in Class 9th to 12th and have secured at least 50% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate in the previous class/qualifying exam.
- Scholarships will not be given to more than two students from a family of the same class.
- No scholarship is available for studies abroad for any course.
- In addition, the applicant student must have an Aadhaar card, bank account passbook and self-declaration certificate.

Documents Required
The applicant must have the following documents to apply for this scheme:-
- Recent passport size photograph of the applicant
- School verification form attested by the Principal of the school/institute
- Mark sheet of the last exam passed attested by the Principal
- Parents/Guardians’ income certificate issued by a competent authority declared by the State/UTs Administration.
- Self-declaration of minority community certificate by the applicant
- Self-certified copy of the first page of bank/postal account passbook which should be in the name of the applicant (either single or joint account with her parents)
- A copy of the applicant’s Aadhaar card (in case of unavailability of Aadhaar card, applicants can submit a birth certificate, BPL card or Rashan card)

The selection procedure for the scholarship is as follows:-
- First of all, the candidates will have to submit the application form by going to the official website of the organisation and they will have to wait for the merit list.
- The authorities will select the students based on the marks that they have scored in their previous examination and also based upon their annual family income.

Rules And Regulations
The applicant must follow the following rules and regulations in order to be selected under the scholarship without any problem:-
- The credentials of the student require School Verification. For this purpose, the students are advised to download the school verification form and get it signed by the principal of the school. Principal stamp & signature are required on photographs and at the given space in the form. The scan copy of the School Verification form is to be uploaded and attached to the application.
- Students have to submit the Income certificate of parents/guardians issued by the Competent Authority declared by the State Government/UTs Administration. Alternatively, the Income Certificates from Pardhan / Sarpanch, Municipal Board, Councillors, MLA, MP or from any Gazetted Officer may also be considered, apart from the Income Certificate received from the concerned department.
- Income Certificate must be in Hindi/English language. In case the Income Certificate is in Regional language then it should be accompanied by a notarized Hindi/English Version.
- Students are advised to submit only “One Application Form”. In case if students submit more than one application form then all the applications submitted by students will be considered as “Duplicate” and will be “Rejected”
- All required documents only in Hindi or English must be uploaded along with the online application.
- You don’t have to submit any physical or hard copy to the authorities of the organisation.
