The Ministry of Minority Affairs has initiated a new scheme known as MOMA Scholarship to provide educational opportunities among students belonging to minority communities. Under this scheme, the students of Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Jain, and Parsi will be able to continue their studies in graduation post-graduation or professional courses by getting pre-Matric Scholarship post-matric scholarship and merit come means scholarship. MOMA Scholarship 2023
This scheme has been created to provide educational opportunities to the minority communities such as Muslims Sikh Christian Buddhist Jain and Parsis. With the help of this scheme, the students belonging to such categories will be rewarded with the financial assistance of Rs. 20,000 per annum for the various professional and graduate and postgraduate courses. The main aim of launching the MOMA Scholarship is to provide various educational opportunities to the students so that they would be able to shape their future in a better form. Around 5 lakh scholarships will be provided to the student for post-matric scholarship scheme and 60,000 scholarships will be provided under merit cum means scholarship for technical and professional courses.

Types Of Scholarship Under MOMA

| Pre Matric Scholarship | This scholarship is provided to the student of classes 1 to 10 of up to Rs. 600 per month. This scholarship will only be provided to the applicants whose family income is not more than Rs. 1 lakh and who have scored at least 50% off marks in their last examination. |
| Post Matric Scholarship | This scholarship is provided to the students of class 11th to PhD level. This scholarship will only be provided to the applicants whose family income should not exceed more than Rs. 2 lakhs and have scored at least 50% off marks in their last examination. |
| Merit Cum Means Scholarship | This scholarship will be provided only to the student who wants to pursue professional or technical courses at the graduate or postgraduate level. The income of the family of an applicant should not exceed more than Rs. 2.5 lakhs. The applicant must have scored at least 50% off marks in their final examination |
