AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2023

The All-India Council for Technical Education has launched a program to assist financially disadvantaged candidates in completing their education. Children who are orphans, or who are offspring of Shaheeds, or whose both or one of their parents has died as a result of COVID19 spread are eligible for AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2022. Candidates studying for a degree or diploma degree at AICTE-recognized institutes and courses are also eligible to apply. The main aim of the All-India Council for Technical Education behind launching this scholarship is to allow the students to study further and prepare for a successful future through education.

Objectives of AICTE Swanath Scholarship

AICTE is implementing the scheme to promote and support orphans, wards of those who died as a result of Covid-19, and wards of Armed Forces and Central Paramilitary Forces martyred so that they can continue their education without any hurdle. This is an effort to provide every such child with the option to continue their studies and prepare for a successful future by enrolling in AICTE-approved institutions and courses.

Benefits of AICTE Swanath Scholarship

The candidate would receive Rs. 50000/- annually in an aggregate’s payment for college fees, stationery, books, equipment, software, purchase of Laptop, and other expenses. However, for accommodation, medical fees, etc., no additional payment shall be done.
Degree students will receive a scholarship for four years. However, the following condition is applicable:
- If the student is currently enrolled in the second year of the degree, then the student will receive a scholarship for 3 years only.
- If the student is currently enrolled in the third year of the degree, then the student will receive a scholarship for 2 years only.
- And if the student is currently enrolled in the fourth year of the degree, then the student will receive a scholarship for 1 year only.
Diploma students will receive a scholarship for Three years. However, the following condition is applicable:
- If the student is currently enrolled in the 2^nd year of the diploma, then the student will receive a scholarship for 2 years only.
- If the student is currently enrolled in the 3^rd year of the diploma, then the student will receive a scholarship for 1 year only.

Total Number of Scholarship

The All-India Council for Technical Education provides each year, a maximum of 2000 scholarships to the qualifying candidates. 1000 scholarships will be specified for the degree students while 1000 scholarships will be specified for the diploma students.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants who want to apply for the AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2021-22 must fulfill the eligibility criteria put forward by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The eligibility criteria for AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2021-22 are as follows:

The applicant must be a domicile of India.
The applicants who are orphans, or who are offspring of Shaheeds, or whose both or one of their parents has died as a result of COVID19 spread are eligible to apply for AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2021-22.
The applicant’s family income must be less than 8 lakh per annum from all the sources.
Applicant must have a valid income certificate that has been issued by State or UT Government.
Applicant must be currently a student of any AICTE recognized college or institution.
He/She must be studying Diploma or Degree level programs in a regular mode.
Applicant must not have applied or taken a scholarship from any other sources.
Applicants who are studying any course through correspondence or distinct education are not eligible to apply for the scholarship.

Required Documents

While filling up the application form for AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2021-22, some important documents will be needed by the students, make sure to keep them handy. The documents required by each category applicants are as follows:

For Orphan Students:

Applicants’ death certificate of both the parents i.e., Father & Mother.
Bonafede Certificate issued by the college or institution recognized by the AICTE.
Notarized affidavit mentioning details as per enclosed format on a Rs 100 / – stamp paper.
10th class and 12^th mark sheets or its equivalent Mark sheet for Degree Level courses.
10th class mark sheet or its equivalent mark sheet for Diploma level courses.
Category Certificate if applicable like SC / ST / OBC-NCL.

For Students whose one or both Parents Died due to Covid-19

Applicants’ death certificate of both the parents i.e., Father & Mother, or one among them.
Death certificate mention that the death was due to the Covid-19.
If one of the parents is alive like Father or Mother, then the current year income certificate is required depicting that the applicant’s family income is less than 8 lakh per annum from all the sources.
Bonafede Certificate issued by the AICTE recognized college or institution.
10th class and 12th mark sheets or its equivalent Mark sheet for Degree Level courses.
10th class mark sheet or its equivalent mark sheet for Diploma level courses.

Steps to apply for AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2023

Once the applicants find themselves eligible for the AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2022-22, they can proceed further by filling up the AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2022 Application Form. Following is the step-by-step process of filling the application form.

Registration

First of all, go to the official website of the NSP portal i.e., https://scholarships.gov.in/.

On the home page of the website, click on the New Registration option.

A new page will open on the screen with the Guidelines for Registration on National Scholarship Portal.
Read the Guidelines carefully.
Now accept the declaration and click on the Continue Button.
Once you click on the continue button, a registration page will open on the screen.
Fill in the form with all the required details like State, Name, Date of birth, Mobile number, Email id, Bank account number, etc.
Now, click on the ‘Register button to complete the registration process.
Once you are successfully registered, you will be provided with the User Id and Password to log in to your account.

Application Process:

First of all, go to the official website of the NSP portal i.e., https://scholarships.gov.in/
On the home page of the website, click on the Login option.
A login page will open on the screen.

Enter the user id, password, and captcha code.
Now, click on the login button to log in to your account.
After successful login, click on the application on the dashboard of your account.
An application form will open on the screen.
Fill in the application form with all the required details.
Upload all the required documents.
Now review and recheck the inserted details to avoid any mistakes.
Finally, click on the Submit button to submit your application form.

AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2022 Renewals

The applicants who have already applied for the scholarship in one year can apply for the next year through the renewal process.
The applicant must have the receipt of a renewal request from the Head of the Institution via the NSP portal.
Applicants who do not pass to the next class or may lose their scholarship.
Applicants who do not apply for the scholarship on time may also lose their scholarship.

Selection Procedure for AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2023

The Selection for AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2021-22 for degree and the diploma are based on the following points:

For degree program

Candidates will be chosen based on their performance in the 12th class examination
In the event of a tie between the two candidates, the candidate with the older age will be given the higher status.
If the age requirements do not work to break the tie, the family’s annual income will be used to break the tie. Families with a lower annual family income will be given a higher ranking.

For diploma program

Candidates will be chosen based on their performance in the 10th class examination
In the event of a tie between the two candidates, the candidate with the older age will be given the higher status.
If the age requirements do not work to break the tie, the family’s annual income will be used to break the tie. Families with a lower annual family income will be given a higher ranking

Payment Method

After being selected, the beneficiaries will be paid an annual stipend by DBT.
