This was done due to the catastrophic effects of the coronavirus pandemic which has been happening in the country. The people who belong to the economically weaker section will be able to apply for the Karnataka drivers team and they will be liable to get Rupees 3000 to Rupees 5000 so that they can live their life without any financial worries and problems.

Objectives Of Karnataka Driver Scheme
The scheme was created by the Karnataka Government during coronavirus pandemic time and all of the benefits which are available in this scheme will be provided to the people till the time they are fully recovered from the coronavirus pandemic and the effects that the coronavirus pandemic has done on their employment or their healthy lifestyle. The people will be able to live their life without the fear of a coronavirus pandemic and the financial difficulties that they will have to go through if there is a chance of the third wave of the pandemic. The benefits in this scheme will be directly provided through DBT as per the categories of the candidates.
Features Of Seva Sindhu Karnataka Driver Scheme
- The benefit under this scheme will be provided through DBT mode to all of the beneficiaries and they will not have to roam here and there to get the financial assistance in cash.
- Different financial assistance amounts will be provided to the beneficiaries according to the categories that they belong to.

- 7.7 lakh auto-rickshaw drivers and cab drivers will be able to get the benefit of this scheme.
- Rupees 1610 crores have been allocated by the Chief Minister to implement this scheme in Karnataka state.
- A lot of handloom weavers and also labourers will be able to take benefit of this scheme.
- Unorganised workers will be also benefited from the development of this scheme.
Benefits Of The Scheme
- Around Rs, 12.74 crores have been allocated to the flower growers through this scheme
- Rupees 10000 per hectare will be given to the flower growers.
- 20000 farmers who are growing flowers will be given this benefit.
- Rupees 10000 per hectare as financial assistance will be provided to the vegetable and fruit growers.
- Around 69000 fruits and vegetable growers will be able to benefit from this scheme.
- 494 crores under the scheme have been allocated for construction workers during the annual budget.
- Financial assistance is provided by the Government to every construction worker registered with the Karnataka Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
- Rupees 5000 will be given to the constructor workers.
- 44 crore has been allocated by the government for street vendors registered under the Nirbh Nidhi Kosh.
- Street vendors will get financial assistance of two thousand rupees, this will benefit about 2.20 lakh street vendors.
- Unemployed people will also be able to get 3000 Rupees.
- Rupees 4.8 crores have been allocated to provide financial assistance to unemployed people.
- Rupees 60.89 crores have been allocated to provide the benefit to the unorganised workers.
- About 16095 artists are going to benefit from this scheme.
- 3000 rupees have been given as financial assistance to the artists.
- Rupees 2000 will be provided to around 3.4 lakh people in the state through the development of this scheme.
