In order to give higher education to state-residence students in the event that they are receiving higher education overseas, the State Government created the programme in the year 2021. The programme went into effect in December 2021. At that moment, 18 students were chosen, and they began their academic year in September 2021. 15 students will be able to pursue BTech, MBBS, BDS, and other degrees from the top 25 Universities thanks to the programme. The first category of students, or those with yearly incomes of less than Rs. 8 lakh, will receive a scholarship opportunity worth Rs. 1 crore and these scholarships would only be awarded based solely on merit. The first category of students will be given preference, and the selection process will take into account the institution’s ranking, the type score that candidates obtained in their board classes, as well as the income requirements.
