Udyog Aadhar Registration (MSME) 2023: Certificate Verification

The Government of India has launched the Udyog Aadhar Registration (MSME) 2023 in September of 2015. The Government of India has launched the उद्योग आधार रजिस्ट्रेशन process to support small-scale companies in the country. There is already around 87 lakh MSME Registration in the country. Nirmala Sitharaman, our country’s finance minister, has made a fresh statement for micro, small, and medium-scale businesses. Under the self-reliant India campaign, a package worth 3 lakh crores have been launched for the MSME sector. This initiative will provide financial support to 36,000 business to micro, small, and medium business applicants by providing a loan of Rs. 2000 crore. Citizens of the country who desire to start their own business, company, or other venture can register online at the UAM website. Any businessperson or industry can now register online through the UAM website.

Udyog Aadhar Registration (MSME) 2023

The Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of the Government of India provides Udyog Aadhaar. Udyog Aadhaar Registration is a process that micro, small, and medium companies can use to gain access to a variety of benefits. The 12-digit Udyog Aadhaar is a Unique Identification Number (UIN) that simplifies the registration process for small businesses. Udyog Aadhaar Registration is currently being moved to Udyam Registration. MSMEs i.e., Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises must apply for Udyam Registration to be eligible for government subsidies. To receive the benefits granted to MSME, industries or entrepreneurs with Udyog Aadhaar Registration must move to Udyam Registration by December 31, 2021. If businessmen do not migrate to Udyam Registration, their UAM will expire and they will need to re-register under the Udyam Portal to receive the MSME incentives.

Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum

The Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum i.e., UAM is a registration form in which an MSME declares its presence and provides necessary details such as the owner’s Aadhar number, bank account number, and so forth. Following the submission of this form, an acknowledgment form including the applicant’s unique UAN i.e., Udyog Aadhaar Number is sent to the applicant’s registered email address.

Features of MSME Registration

Some of the features of the Udyog Aadhar Registration are as follows:

  • The government has specified that there would be no expenses associated with obtaining a Udyog Aadhaar card. Once the application form is successfully submitted, the Udyog Aadhaar acknowledgment will be generated and delivered to the registered email address, along with a unique Udyog Aadhaar number.
  • There are no explicit limitations on issuing the Udyog Aadhaar memorandum using a single Aadhaar number.
  • Existing businesses that have submitted Memorandum 1 and Memorandum 2 in the entrepreneurship category will not be required to apply separately for the Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum. Businessmen can apply for a distinct UAM number.
  • The key notion of Udyog Aadhaar is self-declaration. While filling out the Udyog Aadhaar application, you do not need to upload any supporting documents.  But when the applicants are considering the Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum, the state government and any such linked organizations are entitled to ask for appropriate documentation.

The registration process for Udyog Aadhaar does not involve the submission of documentation. However, the applicants must keep their documents available, so that they can insert the required information in the application form at the time of registration. Steps to apply for Udyog Aadhar Registration (MSME) 2023

Applicants need to follow the below-given steps to apply for the Udyog Aadhar Registration (MSME) 2021:

  • A new page will open on the screen, enter the ‘Aadhaar Number’ and ‘Name of Entrepreneur’.
  • Mark ‘Tick’ on the declaration and click on the ‘Validate and Generate OTP’ button.
  • Once you click on the ‘Validate and Generate OTP’ button, an OTP will be sent to your Aadhaar registered mobile number.
  • Enter the received OTP in the specified space.
  • Now an application form will open on the screen.
  • Enter the Aadhaar Number and the Business Owner Name.
  • Select your Category i.e., General, ST, SC, OBC, etc. For ST, SC, OBC categories applicants, category proof is required.
  • Select the Gender.
  • Enter PAN Card Number
  • Name of the Business Organisation
  • Select the Type of Business from the drop-down list
  • Enter the Official Address of the business, date of commencement of business, and the Previous registration details if already registered.
  • After that enter the bank details of the business.
  • Now select the National Industry Classification Code i.e., NIC Code as per the business activities.
  • Enter the Number of business employees.
  • Now enter the details of the investments made in plant and machinery and the location of the DIC.
  • Review and recheck all the filled information to avoid mistakes.
  • Click on the ‘Submit’ button.
  • Once you click on the ‘Submit’ button, an OTP will be sent to your registered Phone number and Email Id.
  • Enter the received OTP and captcha code 
  • Finally, click on the ‘Submit’ button to complete the process.

Udyog Aadhar Certificate 

Udyog Aadhar Certificate is a recognition certificate issued by the MSME ministry to micro, small, and medium-sized businesses. The certificate is awarded to people who successfully register their business with the Udyog Aadhaar system. A unique number printed on the Udyog Aadhaar certificate now serves as official certification for the company. This certificate entitles business owners to receive compensation for electricity bills, interest rate deductions from banks, and priority on government contracts.

  • Enter the Captcha code and click on the ‘Validate and Generate OTP’ button.

  • Enter the received OTP.
  • Once the OTP is verified you will be logged in to your account.
  • Now make the required changes.
  • Finally, click on the ‘Save’ button to update your Udyog Aadhaar
