What is the Namo Drone Didi Scheme or (Lakhpati Didi) Scheme?

Scheme (Lakhpati Didi) 2024. To make the self-help group members of India aware of the latest technology, the Government of India launched the Namo Drone Didi Yojana. Which is used for purposes like surveying, agricultural monitoring and delivering essential supplies in difficult terrains.

The scheme provides resources, training, and financial support to earn sustainable livelihoods, with the aim of making each participant a “lakhpati” (earning more than Rs 1 lakh annually).

Together, these schemes boost rural economies and elevate the status of women, allowing them to contribute more actively to their communities. Only female citizens of SHG are eligible to avail the benefits of Namo Drone Didi Yojana.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a female citizen.
  • The applicants must be a permanent member of SHG.
  • The annual income of the applicant’s family must be at least INR 1 lakh.

Benefits of Namo Drone Didi Scheme

  • The government of India will provide an 80% subsidy on the purchase of drones by SHG members.
  • The selected applicants under the scheme will receive a subsidy on the purchase of a drone.
  • With the help of the drone female citizens can earn by providing rental services to the farmers for spring fertilisers.
  • The Government of India will also provide training to the applicants on how to perfectly fry the drone.
