About Talliki Vandanam Scheme Status
Andhra Pradesh State Chief Minister Mr. Chandrababu Naidu has recently released the Status of Talliki Vandanam Scheme. The Scheme Status will inform the students selected under this scheme about the financial assistance and other information. Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 15,000 will be given to all the selected students of the state by the Andhra Pradesh State Government. The financial assistance received through the scheme will be transferred directly to the Bank Account of the beneficiaries. The Andhra Pradesh state government has allocated a total budget of Rs 8745 crore for the implementation of this initiative.

The Objective of Thalliki Vandanam Scheme
The main objective of launching Thalliki Vandanam Scheme is to provide financial assistance to the poor and needy Students of Andhra Pradesh, so that they can continue their education smoothly. Under this scheme, the state government provides financial aid to students every year so that they can cover their expenses on studies, books, dress and other necessary expenses. The main objective of the scheme is to tackle dropout rates, especially in rural and deprived areas, as well as to promote gender equality by recognizing the central role of students in education. Through this Scheme, the state government is taking a strong step towards making women self-reliant and raising the level of education in the society.

Eligibility Criteria
- In rural areas, the monthly total family income should not exceed Rs 10,000 and in urban areas, Rs 12,000 per month.
- At least one person in the family must have a valid rice card.
- Each family must own less than three acres of wetland, ten acres of dry land or less than ten acres of land in total.
- Families with four-wheelers, except cars, tractors and taxis, are not eligible.
- The average electricity used by the family during the last 12 months should be less than 300 units per month.
- There must be a record of the recipient in the state household database. If the child is mentioned but not the beneficiary, field verification will be done to ascertain eligibility.
- The children must be enrolled in Classes I to XII in government, private aided, private unaided schools or junior colleges approved by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. Students enrolled in ITI, polytechnic, IIIT (RGUKT) or comparable fee-waiver programmes are not eligible.
- Children without parents and those living on the streets who are registered through voluntary organisations will be considered eligible, pending verification.
- The mother’s bank account must be linked to Aadhaar and verified by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) to facilitate Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
- To be eligible for assistance the next year, the student needs to have at least 75% attendance in the current academic year.
- Financial assistance for enrolment in Class I and Class XI will be assessed after the enrolment process for the academic year 2025-26 is over.
- If the student stops attending school or has less than 75% attendance, the benefit will stop.
