Maiya Samman Yojana is a government initiative started by the state government, which aims to respect women and daughters in the society and secure their livelihood. Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided to economically weak and needy women and daughters. So that they can fulfil their daily essential needs.
The main objective of this scheme is to make the economically weaker women in the society self-reliant and improve their standard of living. Under this, beneficiaries are given financial assistance of ₹12000 per year, which is transferred directly to their bank accounts.

Eligibility criteria
To apply for this Yojana, it is necessary to fulfil these eligibility conditions –
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Jharkhand.
- Only women and daughters are eligible for Maiya Samman Yojana.
- The age of the applicant should be between 21 to 50 years.
- The annual income of the applicant’s family should be less than Rs 1 lakh.
- The applicant must have all the documents asked in the application form.
