The Government of Maharashtra has launched a new portal that will be helping the students to get the benefit of various scholarships through the direct benefit transfer method. Eligibility Criteria

You can apply for the MahaDbt Scholarship opportunity by following the eligibility criteria given below:-

Government of India Post-Matric Scholarship The parents/guardians’ annual income should be less than or equal to INR 2.5 Lakh. The student should belong to Scheduled Caste (SC) or Nav Bouddha category. The student must be a resident of Maharashtra. The student should have passed SSC/equivalent matric. In the case of the student studying out of Maharashtra, the same rules are applicable. Only two professional courses are allowed.
Post Matric Tuition Fee and Examination Fee (Freeship)The parents/guardians’ annual income should not exceed INR 2.5 Lakh. The student’s category should be Scheduled Caste (SC) or Neo Buddhist. The student should be a resident of Maharashtra. The student should have passed SSC/equivalent matric. The student’s institute should be located in Maharashtra recognized by the Government. The students should be admitted through CAP round only for Professional Courses.
Maintenance Allowance for Students Studying in Professional CoursesThe students should be admitted to professional courses. The students should be the scholarship holders of the Government of India. The family annual income should be less than or equal to INR 2.5 Lakh. The students who are studying in the professional curriculum and residing in Hostel (Government or Institutes Hostel or outside).
Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship The student should belong to the SC category. There is no income limit for the scholarship. Students must be studying in class 11th or 12th. Students should secure 75% and above in class 10th. The student should be a resident of Maharashtra.
Post-Matric Scholarship for Persons with Disability The students who are disabled are eligible to apply. (40% or above)The students should be residents of Maharashtra. The students should be studying in a recognized university or institute. The scholarship will not be applicable if the candidate fails or quits the same course. The students studying in recognized institutes or colleges out of Maharashtra and belonging to the Maharashtra state are also eligible. The students pursuing post-graduation from the medical field but not allowed to practice out of the institute are also eligible. The candidates who are taking distance education from a recognized institution where non-refundable fees have to be paid by the student are eligible to apply. The candidate residing in college/institute or any other recognized hostel & if he/she pays hostel fees then the candidate’s maintenance allowance will be given at hosteller rates.

Tuition Fee and Exam Fee for Tribal StudentsThe student’s annual family income should not exceed INR 2.5 Lakh. The students should belong to the ST category only.
Vocational Education Fee ReimbursementThe student’s annual family income should not exceed INR 2.5 Lakh. The students should belong to the ST category only. The students who are enrolled for vocational education courses like Engineering, Pharmacy, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, Vaastu Shastra, MBA, and MCA will be eligible.
Vocational Education Maintenance AllowanceThe student’s annual family income should not exceed INR 2.5 Lakh. The students should belong to the ST category only.
  • Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) Scholarships

Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulk Shishyavrutti Scheme The applicant should be a domicile of Maharashtra They should belong to Maharashtra State Border or Karnataka State Border to apply for the scholarship. The family’s annual income should not exceed INR 8 Lakh. The candidates belonging to the general category and who have taken admission are eligible to apply. The applicant should not avail of any other scholarship or stipend. The courses which students have enrolled in should be approved by the government or AICTE. The students should not have had a 2-year gap during their course. The students must have given all semester examinations.
Assistance to Meritorious Students Scholarship – Junior LevelThe students from Class 11 & 12 are eligible to apply. The students should have a DHE sanctioned letter. The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra can apply for this scheme.
Education Concession to the Children of Ex-ServicemenThe applicant’s son/daughter/wife/widow of ex-servicemen are eligible. The students should be enrolled in government-aided colleges only. The Maharashtrian Students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.
Eklavya ScholarshipThe students must have graduated in degree courses of Law, Commerce & Arts with at least 60% marks and in Science with at least 70% marks. The annual income of the applicant’s parents should not exceed INR 75,000. The applicant must be a resident of Maharashtra state. The beneficiary should not do a part-time or full-time job. The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.
State Government Open Merit ScholarshipThe applicant must be a resident of the state of Maharashtra state. The applicant should have secured at least 60% marks in Class 12. This scholarship is for students who have enrolled in Arts, Commerce, Science, and Law courses. The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.
Scholarship to Meritorious Students Possessing Mathematics/PhysicsThe students should secure at least 60% in the Science exam and more than 60% in Maths & Physics in Class 12. The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme. The applicant must be a resident of Maharashtra State.
Government Vidyaniketan ScholarshipThe student should secure 60% marks in the Class 10 examination. The student should have passed the Class 10 exam from the State Government Vidyanikethan only. The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme. The applicant must be a resident of Maharashtra State.
State Government Dakshina Ahichatra ScholarshipThe applicant must be a graduate student from non-agriculture University only. The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme. The applicant must be a resident of Maharashtra State.
Government Research AdichatraThe applicant must be a postgraduate degree holder. The applicant must be a resident of Maharashtra State. The applicant should have secured 60% marks in post-graduation. The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.
Education Concession to the Children Freedom FighterThe applicants who are son/daughter/wife/widow of freedom fighters are eligible. The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme. The students should be domiciled in Maharashtra.
Jawaharlal Nehru University ScholarshipThe Maharashtrian students who have studied in JNU.The UG and PG JNU students are eligible for the scheme. They should be domiciles of Maharashtra.
Assistance to Meritorious Students Scholarship – Senior LevelThe students from Class 11 & 12 are eligible to apply. The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra can apply for this scheme.
Dr. Punjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna (DHE)The applicant should be a domicile of Maharashtra. For professional courses, the applicants who are children of registered labor or Alpabhudarak or both are eligible. The annual income of the family/ guardian should not exceed INR 8 Lakh. The applicants should not avail of any other Nirvah Bhatta benefits. The applicant should attempt every semester or annual exam.
  • Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Scholarships

The applicant should be a “Bonafide Student of Institute” and admitted for Professional and Technical courses. The applicants from the deemed university are not eligible. The candidates should be admitted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP). The applicants cannot avail of any other scholarship while applying for this. For the current academic year, only 2 children from a family are allowed to avail benefits of the scheme. The total annual income of the family should not exceed INR 8 Lakh. A minimum of 50 % attendance in the previous semester is required. During the course duration, the candidate should not have had a gap of two or more years.
Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Vastigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna (DTE)The applicant should be an Indian national. They should be a domicile of Maharashtra state. The applicant should be a “Bonafide Student of Institute” and admitted for Professional and Technical courses. The applicants from the deemed university are not eligible. The candidates should be admitted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP). The applicants cannot avail of any other scholarship while applying for this. For the current academic year, only 2 children from a family are allowed to benefit from the scheme. The total annual income of the family should not exceed INR 8 Lakh.   • VJNT, OBC & SBC Welfare Department Scholarships

Post-Matric Scholarship for VJNT StudentsThe applicant should belong to VJNT, OBC and SBC categories.The applicants must be pursuing the education course approved by the government.The annual family income should not exceed INR 1 Lakh.The applicant should apply for the scholarship via the CAP system.The applicant should achieve 75% attendance for the current year.
Tuition Fees and Examination Fees to VJNT StudentsThe applicant should belong to the VJNT category.The applicant must be a resident of Maharashtra state.The annual family income should not exceed INR 8 Lakh.The students enrolled in degree courses in Health Science etc. are eligible to apply.The freeship will be applicable to students enrolled in unaided or aided government colleges in technical education.The students who are enrolled in courses such as Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries are also eligible to apply.  
Maintenance Allowance to VJNT and SBC Students Studying in Professional Courses and Living in Hostel Attached to Professional CollegesThe applicant should belong to VJNT and SBC categories.The applicant’s annual family income should not exceed INR 1 Lakh.The applicant should be admitted to the hostels in professional colleges.The applicant is not eligible if he or she takes admission to a government hostel.The students who are enrolled in professional courses such as Engineering, Medical, Veterinary, Architecture etc.
Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship for Students Studying in 11th & 12th Standard of VJNT & SBC CategoryThe applicants should belong to Vimukta Jatis, Nomadic Tribes, and Special Backward Classes.The applicant must be studying in class 11th and 12th in junior colleges.There is no family annual income limit.The students should not have a study gap to avail this scholarship.The applicants must be residents of Maharashtra.
Post Matric Scholarship to OBC StudentsThe applicant should belong to the OBC category.The applicants must be pursuing education courses approved by the government.The application should come via CAP round for professional courses.The applicants need 75% attendance for the current year.
Post Matric Scholarship to SBC StudentsThe parent’s annual income should not exceed INR 1 Lakh.The applicants must belong to the SBC category.The applicants should be residents of Maharashtra.The applicants must be pursuing the education courses approved by the government.
Tuition Fees and Examination Fees to OBC StudentsThe applicant must be pursuing post-matric education from government-approved colleges.They must belong to the OBC category.The applicants must be residents of Maharashtra.The students pursuing degree courses in Health Science related courses are eligible to apply.The students pursuing higher and technical education from aided or unaided government colleges are also eligible.The applicants who are pursuing courses in Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fishery etc. are also eligible to apply.

Scholarship for Students of Minority Communities Pursuing Higher and Professional Courses (DMER)Students enrolled in medical courses such as MBBS, BDS, BAMS, etc and courses should be affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Science, Nashik.The student’s family annual income should not exceed INR 8 Lakh.30% scholarship is reserved for female applicants and 70% for male applicants.The applicant should be a domicile of Maharashtra.

Education Concession to the Children of Ex-ServicemenThe college dress allowance and books allowance is paid up to INR 445.
Eklavya ScholarshipThe scholarship worth INR 5,000 is for all the sanctioned students.

Assistance to Meritorious Students Scholarship – Senior LevelThe AMS junior-level scholarship amount is up to INR 2,300.The AMS senior-level scholarship is up to INR 72,000.
Dr. Punjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna (DHE)Professional courses: INR 30,000 for 10 months will be paid to students studying in MMRDA/PMRDA/Aurangabad/Nagpur city belonging to marginal landholder families with annual income up to 8 Lakh. Students whose family annual income is up to INR 1 Lakh will be paid INR 10,000 for 10 months. Non-professional course scholarship worth INR 2,000 for 10 months for students whose family annual income is up to 1 Lakh.

Scholarship worth INR 20,000 for 10 months for students in other areas. Students whose annual family income is up to 8 Lakhs will be given the following awards: Applicants who belong to the institutes in MMRDA / PMRDA/ Aurangabad City / Nagpur City will be awarded INR 10,000 for 10 months. Scholarship worth INR 8,000 for students in other areas for the period of 10 months.

Merit Scholarship for Economically Backward Class StudentsThe male applicants will receive a scholarship of up to INR 140 per month for 10 months.   • Income certificate (Provided by Tehsildar)
  • HSC and SSC certificates
