Krishak Bandhu Scheme 2023
Krishak Bandhu Scheme was launched on 1 January 2021. Under this scheme, financial assistance will be given to the beneficiaries. The beneficiaries of this scheme will be farmers. This scheme has major two components- Krishak Bandhu (Assured Income) scheme and Krishak Bandhu (Death Benefit) scheme. A detailed explanation about these is given further
Krishak Bandhu (Assured Income) Scheme
Under the Krishak Bandhu (Assured Income) Scheme the state government will provide financial assistance to those farmers who have ROR and recorded Bhagchasi (Sharecropper) of cultivable land owned. The assistance amount will be Rs. 5000/- per year for one acre or more and those who have less than one-acre land will get Rs. 2000/- per year. The assistance will be given to the farmers in two equal installments. The first installment will be given in Rabi season & the second is in Kharif season.

Krishak Bandhu (Death Benefit) Scheme
Under the Krishak Bandhu (Death Benefit) scheme, in case of farmers’ death, his heir-at-law will get one-time financial assistance of Rs. 200000/-. The condition that applies to this scheme is that the age of the farmer should be in between 18 – 60 years. A proper procedure has been followed to choose the heir-at-law & the ultimate decision has been taken by the BDO.

Objective of Krishak Bandhu Scheme
The motive of Banerjee’s government behind launching the Krishak Bandhu Scheme is to support the farmers financially during pre-production. To support them the government will provide financial assistance for the purchase of production input. Another motive of the government is to give income protection in case of farmer’s untimely demise to farm families.
Doubling Of Financial Assistance
As per the recent update, on 17th June 2021 CM Banerjee has announced to relaunch the scheme with double benefits. As if, now the farmers will get financial assistance of Rs. 10000 per year instead of Rs. 5000 for one acre or more of cultivable land owned and Rs. 4000/- instead of Rs. 2000 who have less than one-acre land.

Eligibility Criteria

- A new page open on the screen from where you have to go to the “farmer registration” option
- Enter the voter number on the screen & choose “check voter” option
- Information appears on the screen, check it & choose proceed/continue/next option

- Enter the email ID on the screen & hit send OTP
- Now enter the OTP & hit verify option
- Enter Create new password & confirm new password
- Hit submit option & a message of password was successfully changed shows on the screen

- Enter the voter card number & choose search option appear next to it
- Status will appear on the screen related to your application.
