The Haryana State Government has launched the Haryana Pandit Lakhmi Chand Kalakar Samajik Samman Scheme 2025 to provide financial assistance to Art Scholars who have become senior citizens in the Haryana State. The Haryana State Cabinet, hosted by the Chief Minister of Haryana State, Mr. Nayak Saini, implemented this scheme across the state today on 5th May 2025. The government of Haryana state will provide a monthly honorarium of Rs 10,000 to all the selected art scholars under this scheme.

The Objective of Pandit Lakhmi Chand Kalakar Samajik Samman Scheme
The main objective of launching Pandit Lakhmi Chand Kalakar Samajik Samman Scheme is to give respect and recognition to the art scholars living in the state of Haryana. The scheme will honour the contribution made by arts scholars to the history of India, be it in singing, acting, dancing, drama, painting or other forms. Such artists, who have been serving the society and culture for years, are given financial assistance and social respect. All the art scholars who have contributed a total of 20 years of their life to any specific art are eligible to get the benefits under this scheme.

Financial Benefits under Haryana Pandit Lakhmi Chand Kalakar Samajik Samman Scheme
- If the annual income of the applicant is less than Rs 1.8 lakh, they will get Rs 10,000 per month.
- If the annual income of the applicant is between Rs 1.8 lakh and Rs 3 lakh, they will get Rs 7,000 per month.
Eligibility Criteria
- To avail the Benefits of this scheme, citizens must be permanent residents of Haryana state.
- Senior citizens must be above 60 years of age to apply under the scheme.
- An Art Scholar must have contributed to a specific art for at least 20 years.
- If the annual income of the applicant is between Rs 1.8 lakh and Rs 3 lakh, they will get Rs 7,000 per month.
