What is Gruha Lakshmi Scheme?
The Gruha Lakshmi Scheme is launched by the Karnataka Government for women who are heads of families and belong to the Economically weaker sections of the Society. The aim of this Scheme is to help women and improve their living Standards. The aim is to empower Housewives, Homeless women and Agricultural workers by providing them Financial Assistance. Under this Scheme, the selected women will get a monthly allowance of Rs 2,000. The Benefits of this Scheme will be given through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode.

Benefits of Gruha Lakshmi Scheme
- The main objective of the Scheme is to promote Women Empowerment and improve their economic condition.
- This Scheme provides Financial Assistance to the women of the State. Under this Scheme, cash Assistance is provided to poor families.
- Rs 2,000 is given every month to the female head of the family.
- Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) option is used to distribute the benefits of the Scheme.
Eligibility Criteria
- Women should belong to Antyodaya, BPL or APL families.
- The name should be as the head of the family in the Antyodaya, BPL or APL ration card issued by the government.
- The applicant woman should not be a Government employee.
- Only one woman in the family will be the beneficiary under the Scheme.
- If the husband is filing GST reports or paying income tax, then the women of that household will not get the Benefit of this Scheme.
