About Gruha Lakshmi Scheme Karnataka
The Gruha Lakshmi Scheme Karnataka Launched by the Government of Karnataka, provides monthly Financial Assistance of Rs 2,000 to women who head the household. This Scheme will Benefit 1.28 crore women of the State. This Scheme has been created to provide Assistance to women and improve their living Standards. It aims to Empower Housewives, Homeless women and Agricultural women workers by providing Financial Assistance through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode. Women will start getting Assistance Amount after 16 August 2023 which will be transferred directly to the Bank Accounts of the Beneficiary Women.

Objective of Gruha Lakshmi Scheme Karnataka
The Main Objective of the this Scheme Karnataka is to promote women Empowerment. This Scheme provides Financial Assistance to the women of the State. Under this Scheme, cash assistance is provided to weaker families. The woman head of the family is given Rs 2,000 every month. Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) option will be used to distribute the Benefits of the Scheme. The Benefit of this Scheme will be given to those women who have Ration Cards in their name.
Benefits of the Scheme
- The Karnataka Government has launched this Scheme to Empower women and Improve their living Standards.
- This Scheme will assist 1.28 crore women in the State of Karnataka.
- The Scheme helps in Empowering Housewives, Homeless women, and Agricultural laborers by providing Financial Assistance.
- With an allocated budget of Rs 18,000 crore, the Scheme will Benefit more than 1.28 crore women, benefiting a total of 12.8 million families across the State.
- After August 16, 2023, an amount of Rs 2,000 will be deposited in the Bank Accounts of the Beneficiary Women.
Eligibility Criteria
- Only women from BPL, APL and Antyodaya families will be eligible for this Scheme.
- The Scheme will Benefit those women who are listed as the head of the family in the Antyodaya, BPL and APL ration cards issued by the Government.
- If the husband is filing GST reports or paying income tax, then the women of that household will not get the Benefit of this Scheme.
- The applicant woman should not be a Government employee.
- Only one woman in the family will be the beneficiary under the Scheme.
