What is Free Sewing Machine Scheme?
The Telangana Government has launched the Indiramma Mahila Shakti Scheme 2024 to Economically Empower minority women. This Scheme helps women to start small businesses or work from home to make them Financially Independent. The Free Sewing Machine Scheme is specially designed for those women who are from socially and economically backward classes and are educated (minimum education required is 5th class). Objective of the Free Sewing Machine Scheme
The Main Objective of the Free Sewing Machine Scheme is to empower minority women economically and socially. Under this scheme, Free Sewing Machines are provided to them to promote self-employment, with the help of which women can start small-scale work from home and improve their economic condition. In this Scheme, priority is given to unemployed or self-employed, poor women. This Scheme is an Important step of the State Government towards women Empowerment.

- Annual family income must be below Rs 1.5 Lakh in rural areas and Rs 2 Lakh in urban areas.
