- Shehri Vitrak– LPG distributors located in the urban areas and servicing the residents or the customers that are within the Municipal Limits of the city or town or metro city shall be known as Shehri Vitrak
- Rurban Vitrak– The LPG distributors located in the urban areas but also providing distribution services in the specified rural areas that are typically located within 15 km from the municipal limits will be known as Rurban Vitrak
- Gramin Vitrak– LPG distributors located and servicing the customers in specified rural areas (typically all villages falling within 15 km from the location of the LPG distributorship) will be known as Gramin Vitrak
- Durgam Kshetriya Vitrak– LPG distributors located and providing services in any of the following Difficult and Special areas will be known as Durgam Kshetriya Vitrak such as-
- Hilly regions
- Forests area
- Tribal inhabited area
- sparsely populated

- For Urban Area – the General category has to pay an amount of Rs 10,000 and the OBC category will have to pay an amount of Rs 5000. Along with the ST/SC category will have to pay a number of Rs 3000.
- For Rural Areas – General category will have to pay Rs 8000, the OBC category will have to pay Rs 4000, and SC and ST category have to pay Rs 2500.
- Security Deposit-
- To get a dealership in urban areas, an amount of Rs 5 lakh is needed to be deposited and in rural areas, an amount of Rs 4 lakh is to be deposited as security.

Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be a citizen and a resident of India.
- He/She must have passed the 10th standard examination or equivalent from a recognized Board not applicable in the case of the Freedom Fighter (FF) category.
- He/She must be above the age of 21 years.

- He/She has to fulfil Multiple Dealership/Distributorship norms.

- The applicant also has to own a plot of land which is of at least the minimum dimensions for the construction of LPG godown as per the guidelines as on the last date of submission of application for distributorship.
- He/She may also be the owner of a ready LPG cylinder storage godown as on the last date for submission of application for distributorship.
