What is Palak Mata Pita Yojana?
Palak Mata Pita Yojana has been started by the State Government of Gujarat, this scheme comes under the Social Justice & Empowerment (SJE) department, regulated by the Government of Gujarat. Under this Scheme, provides financial assistance of Rs 3,000 per month to such orphan children who have lost their parents at an early age by the Government of Gujarat.
This assistance amount will be transferred to the bank account of the child caretaker i.e. Kaka, Kaki, Mama, Mami, Uncle, Aunty or any person who takes care of the orphan child. Which they can use to get school fees, books and health facilities. Relatives who are taking care of the child can apply for this scheme. At the beginning of each year, the certificate and mark sheet of the school where the child is studying must be submitted to the Social Welfare Department, failing which the assistance to the beneficiary will be stopped.

- The annual income of the foster parents should not exceed Rs 27,000 in rural areas and Rs 36,000 in urban areas.
- As long as the child is studying and attains the age of 18 years, he/she will be eligible for assistance. If the child is below 18 years of age and drops out of school, assistance will not be available.
- If the child is more than 6 years of age, he/she will have to be enrolled in a school and a certificate proving that the child is currently studying will have to be taken from the school and shown to the court.
