Under this scheme, the government will provide livelihood to the families of weaker sections of the state and increase their income through the establishment of industry, service, business and agriculture and other activities.
This scheme will be implemented by the department especially for the empowerment of disabled persons, senior citizens and transgenders. Under this scheme, the government helps the financially unstable citizens of the state in various business and self-employment related fields, such as small industries, farming and other business activities. About Telangana Economic Rehabilitation Scheme
The Telangana State Government has launched the Economic Rehabilitation Scheme to help the citizens belonging to the weaker sections of the state. Under this scheme, the government will provide livelihood to the selected beneficiaries by increasing industrial activities. The required age to apply for this scheme is between 21 to 55 years. To apply under this program, the annual income of the families should not exceed 1.5 lakh in rural areas and 2 lakh in urban areas. The main goal of this scheme is to improve the economic condition of the weaker sections of the society.

Objective of Telangana Economic Rehabilitation Scheme
The main objective of launching Telangana Economic Rehabilitation Scheme is to provide livelihood to the disabled, senior citizens, and transgenders of the State. This scheme is specially designed to provide self-employment and other business opportunities to the people from economically weaker groups of the state. Under this program, 100% financial assistance will be provided directly to the selected beneficiaries through subsidy for units with unit cost up to Rs 50,000 and for unit cost above fifty thousand the financial assistance will be linked to bank loan component. So that they can start a small business or grow their existing business.
