Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN)
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Scheme launched by the Government of India to help farmers financially. Through this scheme, the Government of India provides annual income support of Rs 6,000 to eligible small and marginal farmers across the country. Under this initiative, every eligible farmer family will get Rs 2,000 in three installments in a year.
This assistance amount is directly deposited into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries using the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. As of July 2020, about 2.05 million farmers had received payments under this scheme. Objective of PM Kisan 18th Installment Date
The main objective of the PM Kisan installment is to provide funds to farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN). Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced that the long-awaited 19th installment will be released in the first week of March 2025. - The applicant must not be a retired person receiving a monthly pension of at least 10,000 rupees.
- Under this Scheme, Applications will be accepted only from marginal or small farmers.
