Objective of Subhadra Yojana 2024
The main objective of this scheme is to empower women living below the poverty line and improve their standard of living. This scheme focuses especially on providing financial assistance and various facilities to women of rural and backward areas. Under this, employment opportunities, education and health services will be provided to women. The objective of Subhadra Yojana is to give women an equal position in society and contribute to the economic development of their families, so that they can live a respectable life.
Key features of Subhadra Yojana 2024
- Financial assistance: The government will give Rs 10,000 every year to eligible women. The assistance amount will be given twice a year, once on March 8 (Women’s Day) and second time on Raksha Bandhan. A total assistance of ₹50,000 will be given in five years.
- Digital payment: This amount will be transferred directly to the bank accounts linked to Aadhaar in two installments. Along with this, they will also be given a special debit card.
- Educational Assistance: The main objective of educational assistance under the Subhadra Scheme is to provide better education opportunities to the children of poor and deprived class.
- Health-care: Subhadra Yojana also provides health facilities to women.

Eligibility Criteria for Subhadra Yojana 2024
To apply for Subhadra Yojana, you must fulfil the following eligibility criteria:
- Residential Status: The woman must be a permanent resident of Odisha state.
- Age Limit: Women between the age of 21 to 60 years, who belong to the economically weaker section, are eligible for this scheme.
- Economic status: Government employees, income tax payers, or women who are receiving more than ₹1,500 monthly assistance under other government schemes are not eligible for this scheme.
- Family Status: Priority is given to marginalized families and single mothers.
- Bank Account: An active bank account linked with Aadhaar is required so that assistance can be transferred directly to the candidate’s bank account.
- E-KYC: E-KYC process must be completed to ensure eligibility.
