Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has also released the shift list along with timings for the 70th Combined Competitive Preliminary Examination to be held on 6th December 2024. The exam will be conducted in offline mode in a single shift on 13th December 2024 from 12 noon to 2 pm.

BPSC 70th Prelims Exam selection process
Bihar Public Service Commission 70th Preliminary Exam selection process is completed in three stages:
- Prelims Examination: This exam is objective type and questions based on general studies are asked in it. Candidates who are successful in the preliminary examination get a chance to appear in the main examination.
- Main exam: This exam is descriptive in nature and consists of questions on optional subjects as well as general studies and language papers. Candidates who qualify this exam are called for an interview.
- Personality Test: The personality, communication skills and problem-solving ability of the candidate are evaluated during the interview.
The final merit list is prepared based on the performance in all three stages, and the selected candidates are given appointments in various departments of the Bihar Government.

BPSC 70th Prelims Exam Pattern Explained
- The BPSC 70th exam will consist of questions from the General Studies subject. All the questions will be objective. The duration of the exam is 2 hours, and the total number of questions asked will be 150. There will be negative marking for wrong answers in the preliminary exam. There is a provision of 1/3 negative marking for every wrong answer.
