OSSC LTR Recruitment 2024: Application Process For 6025 Posts 

Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has released the recruitment for 6025 Leave Training Reserve (LTR) Teacher posts on its official website. Under the category wise vacancy break up, out of 6,025 posts, 3,315 are for UR, 678 for SEBC, 998 for SC and 1,354 for ST.

Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) LTR Teacher Recruitment 2024 

The OSSC LTR notification has been released to recruit a total of 6025 vacancies of Leave Training Reserve (LTR) teachers for government secondary schools under Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC). These posts are available under Group-B and Group-C posts for TGT and Physical Education Teacher. Under OSSC LTR Recruitment drive, OSSC is to recruit a total of 6,025 vacancies for various teacher posts including TGT Arts, TGT Science (PCM & CBZ), and Language Teachers. Out of the 6025 vacancies, 1988 are reserved for women.

Educational Qualification & Age Limit for OSSC LTR Teacher Recruitment

Educational Qualification

  • TGT Arts: Graduation in Arts / Commerce or a Shastri (Sanskrit) Degree from a recognized university with 50% marks in aggregate and Bachelor in Education (B. Ed)/3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. from an. NCTE recognised institution OR
  • Four-year Integrated B.A. B.Ed. from an NCTE recognized Institution having 50% marks in aggregate.
  • Classical (Sanskrit) Teacher: Bachelor’s Degree with Sanskrit as one of the elective/ optional/ honours/ pass subjects from a recognized university with 50% marks (relaxed for SC/ ST/ PWD/ SEBC).
  • Telugu Teacher: Bachelor’s Degree in Arts (with Telugu) from a recognized university with 50% marks (relaxed for SC/ST/PWD/SEBC) and B.Ed./B.A.-B.Ed. in Telugu from an NCTE Recognised institution.
  • Hindi Teacher: Graduation from a recognized University with Hindi as one of the electives/ Optional/ Pass/ Honours subjects with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. OR
  • Graduation from a recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
  • Urdu Teacher: Alim/Fazil with 50 % marks and B.ED/Urdu B.ed from NCTE. OR
  • Ba (Persian) with 50 % and B.ED Urdu B.Ed from NCTE.
  • Physical Education Teacher: +2 or its equivalent examination from a recognised institution. AND
  • C.P.Ed./ B.P.Ed./ M.P. Ed from a recognized Board/University.

Age Limit

OSSC LTR Teacher Exam pattern 2024

OSSC LTR Recruitment Prelims Exam will be of 01 paper for a total of 100 marks. The OSSC LTR Exam will consist of multiple objective type questions. Each question will carry 01 mark. There will be negative marking, 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

OSSC LTR Teacher Recruitment Selection Process 

The selection of candidates for Leave Training Reserve (LTR) Teacher posts is done on the basis of Preliminary Examination (Objective), Main Written Examination and Certificate Verification. Approximately 0.5 times the number of candidates will be shortlisted to appear in Main Written Examination based on the marks obtained in Preliminary Examination.

The final selection of the candidates will be determined through verification of all relevant documents in support of age, qualification and other eligibility. 

OSSC LTR Teacher Salary 2024

The teachers who will be selected for the Leave Training Reserve (LTR) teacher posts will be given a monthly stipend along with various facilities and allowances.

  • Physical Education Teacher: Rs. 29200/- as per Group-C, Cell-1, Level-8
  • For Others Teacher Posts: Rs. 35000/- as per Group-B, Cell-1, Level-9
