The Directorate of Government Examinations recently released the official notification regarding the guidelines and the procedures through which the people can easily apply for the Tamil Nadu RTE Admission. The students belonging to the backward category will be getting admission in private schools of the state through this RTE act which was passed in the year 2009. TN RTE Admission 2023-24
The Government of Tamil Nadu State has passed the Right To Education Act in the year 2019 and through the development of this act, the students belonging to the backward section of the society are getting 25% reservations to get admission in private schools of the state. The current academic admissions will start from 5th July 2021 and the candidates will have the timeline to apply for the admission till the last date of 3rd August 2021. Free and compulsory education will be provided under this act to the children belonging to poor families. The schools will be providing the vacant seat list on the official website of the organization.

The candidates will be selected for admission to the private schools based upon the admission schedule given below in the following table:-

TN RTE Admission Objective
There are many objectives which are fulfilled by the Tamil Nadu RTE admission 2021 and some of them are listed below:-
- Through the scheme presented by the Tamil Nadu state, the candidates belonging to the economically weaker section are provided admission to private schools.
- The students will be able to continue their studies without having to worry about the fees and expenses of studying in a private school.
- The Government is responsible for covering each and every cost for the students getting their admission on the reservation quota.
- While applying for admission, you can also select your favourite school from the list of schools available to choose from.
- The candidates are selected based on their financial background.
- Priorities are also given to physically handicapped students.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidates will have to follow the following eligibility criteria in order to get selected in the private schools of the Tamil Nadu State:-
- The children of Parents falling under economically weaker sections, disadvantaged groups, disadvantaged groups-special category are eligible to get admission on reservations.
- Age Limit-
- For LKG admissions, the Date Of Birth must be b/w 31 July 2017 to 31 July 2018.
- For 1st Standard admission, the Date Of Birth must be b/w 31 July 2015 to 31 July 2016.
- Applicants from BC-others, MBC, ST, SC-others, SC-arunthathiyar, OC, DNC (Denotified communities), social categories not disclosed, are eligible.
- The annual income of the family of the applicant from all sources must not exceed Rs. 2 lakh.
- Disabled children, wards of scavengers and HIV infected among others would be given preference.
Documents Required
The candidates will have to submit the following documents in order to successfully fill up the application form for this admission:-
- Recent photograph of applicant (150 px * 175 px).
- Birth certificate.
- Aadhar card or ration card of the parent/guardian.
- Income certificate for weaker section candidates.
- Community certificate for disadvantaged group candidates.
- Disadvantaged Group Special Category Certificate.
- Disability Certificate (if any).
- Certificate to prove wards of scavengers (if applicable).
- Children of HIV infected parents (if applicable).
Selection Procedure
The selection procedure for the admissions is as follow:-
- The candidates will be selected by the Tamil Nadu authorities based upon the applications that have been submitted by them on the official website of the Right To Education Act, however, if the applicants are more than the available seats under the Right To Education portal then the school will select the students through random selection.
- The random selection procedure will be conducted on 10th August 2021
- The name of the selected students with the waitlist of 5 seats for each section will be displayed on the official website of the act as soon as it is made available by the school authorities.

The candidates will have to follow the following application procedure in order to get selected in the private schools of Tamil Nadu State through reservations:-

- Now you have to click on the option called Start Application
- The registration form will open on your screen.
- You have to enter the following details-
- Personal details
- Parent details
- Address details
- You have to now upload important documents related to your education and other information.
- Finally, you need to select the schools that you want to apply for.

- Now you have to click on the option called View School List
- The district-wise school list will open on your screen.
- Click on your prescribed district
- The list of schools available in that district will open on your screen.
Login Procedure

- Now you have to click on the option called Resume Application
- A new page will open on your screen.
