National Scholarship For OBC
National scholarship for OBC Students is launched by the ministry Of social justice and empowerment, Government of India. Through this scholarship scheme, financial aid is provided to the OBC students so that they can pursue their higher education in leading degrees like M Phil and Ph.D. Every year the government provides 300 scholarships to the junior research fellow and senior research fellow. All universities that are recognized by the University grants commission are covered under this scholarship scheme. All the junior research fellows can avail of the scholarship for 2 years and senior research fellows can avail the scholarship for 3 years. PWD students who belong to the OBC category can also apply under this scheme. The PWD students will get 3% reservation. Other than that all the selected students will also receive the allowance apart from scholarships stipend like HRA, medical, leave, etc.

Eligibility Criteria To Apply Under National Scholarship For OBC
- Applicant must belong to OBC category
- The applicant must be permanent resident of India
- Annual family income of the applicant should be Rs 600000 or less
- Should have passed post graduate examination and wish to pursue full time research
- Transgenders can also apply under this scheme
- The applicant must be registered for regular full time M phil or PhD program in the field of science, humanities, social science or engineering and technology from those universities, colleges or institutions that are recognised by UGC, state or Central Government or Institute of national importance

Central Sector Scheme Of National Overseas
This scheme has been launched for all those students who want to pursue their masters or Ph.D. in foreign universities. Students who are pursuing engineering, management, agricultural science, and medicine can get the benefit of the scheme. 30% seats of in this scheme are reserved for female applicants. Each year the government provides 25 scholarships under this scheme. The Ph.D. candidates are offered scholarships for 4 years and students pursuing master’s degrees will get a scholarship for 3 years. The government also provides other kinds of allowance other than stipends like a journey, visa fees, poll tax, medical insurance, etc. This scholarship is provided annually.

Those students who are pursuing education at a pre-matric stage in government and private institutions can apply under this scholarship scheme. Under this scheme, the government is going to provide a monthly stipend of Rs 500. Only those students who are studying in government-recognized institutions can apply under this scholarship scheme. The scholarship is offered by oil and gas corporation limited. Under this scheme, 1000 scholarships are offered to the students who belong to the OBC category and economically backward general category. Only those students who are studying in the first year of graduation or post-graduation course can take the benefit from this scheme. Under this scholarship scheme, oil and gas corporate limited provides a maintenance allowance of Rs 4000 per month to graduates in engineering, MBBS, Masters in geology/geophysics, MBA, etc
