Features of Mukhyamantri Kalakar Sahayata Yojana Odisha
- Increased allowance will be given this year of Rs. 1200 per month which was previously Rs. 1000.
- This year the scheme will be beneficial for 50000 people of the state instead of 4000
- Age of the applicant should not less than 50 years for males and 40 years for females instead of 60 years for males and 50 years for females
- Selection of the beneficiaries will be made by the district cultural council instead of cultural department
- This year the government has sanctioned a budget of Rs. 51 crore for this scheme
Budget of MMKSY Scheme
The state government of Odisha has sanctioned an amount of Rs. 135 crores for the promotion of Odia Language, Culture, and Heritage. Out of this budget around Rs. 51 crores have been sanctioned for the MMKSY Scheme and Rs. 8 crores for preservation, conservation, and protection of monuments and sites which reflect the rich cultural heritage of the Odisha state.

Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant should be a native of Odisha
- Applicant should be an artist
- Age of the applicant should not less than 50 years for males and 40 years for females
- Annual income of the applicant shall not exceed Rs.50,000/- for Rural Area and Rs.60,000/- for Urban Area
Selection Process
The selection process for the yojana is as follows:
- Scrutiny of the application will be made by the selection committee
- Selection committee and Collector of the District will shortlist the candidates as per the norms
- A list of candidates will prepare and forwarded by the Selection committee and Collector of the District to Director, Odia Bhasa, Sahitya O Sanskruti Department for release of financial assistance
