HP ePass is required to get permission from the government during the lockdown period to move out of the house. One can apply for permission by online mode. The government of Himachal Pradesh has launched a special portal to receive permission request applications from the citizens. Procedure To Register to Organize an Event
If you are going to organize any event, you need special permission from the government. Further are the steps to get permission to hold an event:
- To apply for the permission, you need to rush to the official website of the Event registration, government of Himachal Pradesh
- From home page of the portal, you have to rush to the “register here” option and click on it given in front of “Permission for Organising Event”.
- A new web page will open on the computer screen along with the application form
- Enter the following information in the application form:
- Event Type
- No of person to attend the event
- Please attach the list of persons who will attend the event.
- Venue of Event
- Total capacity of Venue
- Event Date
- Applicant Detail
- Name
- Relation Prefix
- Relation Name
- Mobile Number
- Applicant Address
- District
- Tehsil
- Block/ town
- Panchayat/Ward
- Address of applicant
- Concerned Police Thana
- Upload the Documentary Proof (Address proof/ Aadhaar etc. / invitation Card of Function)
- Enter the code appears in the image and read the declaration
- Tick the cheek box and hit register option
Procedure To Check e Pass Himachal Pradesh Status 2023
- To check the status of your application, you need to rush to the official website of the Event registration, government of Himachal Pradesh
- Hit the status check option appears in the menu bar on home page of the portal
- Select the event type and enter the mobile number on the screen
- Hit search option and your application status will appear on the computer screen

Important Instructions by the Government
Keep updating yourself is necessary, we all know that COVID 19 (Noval Corona Virus) threat is still there. So, to keep ourselves safe from infecting it’s required to follow the safety measures as per the government instructions. Considering the COVID 19 faster spread the Government of Himachal Pradesh releases the following instructions for the people for organizing an event:
- Only 50 people in indoor and 100 people maximum in outdoor functions are permissable.
- Only 50 persons gathering is permissable in funerals/Cremations.
- Marriage function can not go beyond more than one day
- Use of DJ is not permissable
- Organising Dham or community kitchen is not permissable
- While granting permission may be local administration impose additional conditions
- If any of the person found to violating these safety instructions issued by the government, legal action will be taken against him her as per the Section 51-60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, besides legal action under IPC Section 188, and other legal provisions as applicable
