Delhi Nursery Admission 2023
There are approximately 1.25 lakh seats available in 1700 private schools for Nursery admission. Out of these 25 % of seats are reserved for this scheme. Under the Delhi Nursery Admission 2022 initiative of the Delhi Directorate of education, parents can register their children for pre-school studies if the child meets the eligibility criteria. To apply for admission under this program follow the step-by-step guide mentioned below. Under this program, the government will finance the studies of children of economically weaker sections and the disadvantaged category.
In the interaction with media, the Chief Minister of Delhi said that “he is in no mood to cancel the nursery admissions” and Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia said that “due to Covid-19, Delhi Nursery Admission 2022 has been delayed. Schools were completely closed for a total duration of 9 months and will be reopened only after the COVID vaccine is implemented”.

Delhi Nursery Admission Eligibility Criteria
- Should be a permanent resident of Delhi.
- Age of the student should be as follows:
- Nursery or Pre-School is 3 to 5 years,
- KG or Pre-Primary is 4 to 6 years
- Class I is 5 to 7 years
- Annual family income should not more than 1 Lakh rupees
- Only economically weaker sections and the disadvantaged category students can grab the benefits

- Open the official website of the Directorate of education, Delhi to apply for the Delhi Nursery Admission 2022
- This will land you on home page of the portal from where you need to hit “EWS / DG Admissions and EWS / Freeship Admissions” link
- A new page will open from where you have to hit “Registration for New User” option.
- Application form will appears on the screen, now fill all the mandatory information in it as asked such as
- Name
- Mobile number
- Email id
- Gender
- Date of birth
- Annual income
- Other details
- Hit register option and a pop-up message display on screen
- Choose ok button and registration number & password will appear on the screen
- Now click “click here to login” option and enter the registration number & password
- Hit login option and application form will appear on the screen
- Fill the application form as asked in it and choose Preview option
