New Addition To The Scheme
- Due to the coronavirus pandemic, many students were not able to attend online classes because they did not have adequate resources. Under these circumstances, now the students studying from Class 9th to 12th can opt for a laptop instead of getting Rupees 15000 financial assistance from next year.
- The Chief Minister of the Andhra Pradesh state also announced that they will be improving the infrastructure of the Government schools in the Andhra Pradesh state so that the children going there can get quality education.
- In order to improve the attendance of students, if the students are not attending school for more than 3 days then the volunteers have to visit the student’s house.
- From the financial assistance of Rs 15000, Rs 1000 will be deducted for toilet maintenance in the school.
- Due to this reason, parents will get the right to question the bad conditions of toilets in the schools. If the toilets are in bad condition then the students can call 1902 in order to lodge a complaint.

Features Of Amma Vodi List
- Rupees 6318 crores have already been sanctioned by the state Government to implement the scheme for all of the beneficiaries.
- The scheme will be beneficial for the students studying in class 1st to class 12th in both private and Public Schools of Andhra Pradesh state.
- 43 lakh beneficiaries will be added to the scheme each and every year.
- The financial assistance will be directly transferred to the bank account of the beneficiaries.
- The amount will be transferred to the bank account of the mothers after the child has successfully completed class 12th.
Amma Vodi List Implementation Procedure
The Government is preparing to implement the scheme across the state on January 9, 2021. The selection of those who are already eligible is almost complete. It will provide Rs 15,000 to about 80 lakh students. Beneficiaries will get the benefits directly transferred into the Bank Accounts of their mother/ guardian by the concerned department. The amount will transfer in the month of January of every year until the applicant will complete intermediate/ 12th/ +2. If the child discontinues the study in between then he will not get any financial assistance. 72,74,674 students from class one to class ten in the state and 10,97,580 students in classes 11 and 12 have been selected for the Amma Vodi scheme, this year.

Eligibility Criteria
- All below poverty line mothers/ guardians in the state with school-going children, studying in class 1-12 in either private, government, aided or unaided schools will be eligible for the financial assistance.
- The student must be a permanent and legal resident of Andhra Pradesh state.
- Children must have 75 per cent attendance in schools, and their families must be white ration card holders, to avail the scheme.
- Those who drop out of schools would stop being beneficiaries.
- The family should have a white ration card
- The family should own either a valid Aadhaar Card or a Voter ID Card
- The student must have a working and eligible PAN card.
- A State Government Official’s ward is not applicable for the scheme.
