Chief Minister of Telangana K. Chandrashekhar Rao announced the Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme 2023 in order to help the backward communities save for their daughter’s marriage. The eligible beneficiaries will be getting more than Rupees 100000 for their daughter’s marriage. The first installment will be given to book the venue for the wedding and the rest of the amount will be credited after the successful marriage of the bride. Any candidate can apply for this scheme but they should belong to the backward community and must belong to the BPL category.

Objectives Of Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme
The main objective which will be fulfilled through the development of this scheme is to provide proper financial assistance to the people who are not able to get their daughters married because of bad financial conditions. The financial assistance will be provided in installments to the people belonging to backward caste and communities. This scheme will help people to successfully get their daughters married without the worry of financial funds. The first installment will be provided to the people when they have booked the venue for the marriage and the second installment will be provided after the successful marriage of the bride.
Types Of Financial Assistance
Two types of financial assistance will be provided to the beneficiaries under this scheme and both of them are mentioned below:-
- Kalyana Laxmi is for the Hindu minorities below the poverty line
- Shaadi Mubarak is for the Muslim community brides.
Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme Components
There are only two components under this scheme that are announced by the Chief Minister of Telangana State. Components are Given below.
- Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme is only for the Hindu Minorities who are below the poverty line.
- Shaadi Mubarak is for the Muslim Community people.
Shadi Mubarak Scheme Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria in order to be eligible to apply for the scheme:-
- Beneficiaries must have a caste Certificate either Hard Copy or Soft copy issued by the MRO officer.
- The scheme is available for the applicant of categories such as SC, ST, EBC, BC, Muslims or Christians. Or she must belong to the Below Poverty line (BPL)
- The parents of the bride should have an annual income as follows-
- For Kalyana Laxmi-
- For SC Rs.2,00,000/-
- ST Rs.2,00,000/-
- For BC/EBC:
- Urban- Rs.2,00,000/-
- Rural- Rs.1,50,000/-
- For Shaadi Mubarak- Rs.2,00,000/-

- The applicants must possess either a hard or soft copy of the Caste Certificate issued by the MRO officer.
- The applicant must be a citizen of Telangana State.
- The bride must be more than or 18 years of age at the time of applying for the scheme.
