Benefits and Importance of Uttar Pradesh Bijli Sakhi Yojana
UP Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, launched the vidyut sakhi in 2022.In the state, self-help group women are assisting with bill collecting and metre reading.who are WSHG members, have finished collecting more than Inr 62.50 crore worth of power bills from the state’s rural districts.In order to collect power bills in 75 districts across the state, 73 cluster-level unions have been registered on the UPPCL website. A total of 15,310 women self-help group members were chosen for this, and 5395 of them were actively involved in collecting invoices totaling Rs. 625 million.
These women collected an electricity bill for Inr 110 crore and were paid a fee of Inr 165 lakh. 15310 self-help group women have been chosen as part of the Bijli Sakhi Yojana 2023. A total of 15,310 women self-help group members were chosen for this, and 5395 of them were actively involved in collecting invoices totaling Rs. 625 million.
Objectives and Features of UP Bijli Sakhi Yojana
Making women independent and self-sufficient has been the goal of the state administration.
