The authorities of the Punjab Government have started a new scheme which is known as the Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana Card 2024. The residents of the Punjab State will be able to get an abundance of benefits by using this prestigious Healthcare facility available by the Punjab Government. Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana Card 2024

Around 75% of the population of Punjab state will be provided financial protection through the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana 2024 Cashless health insurance cover of Rupees 5 lakh will be provided per family per year under this prestigious scheme presented by the Government of the Punjab state. Cashless and paperless treatments will be provided at all of the government and empanelled private hospitals under this scheme. Candidates can now apply for this scheme at the official website. The premium cost will be deposited by the central and state governments in a 60 to 40 ratio towards the implementation of this scheme.

Benefit Of Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana

The people can now apply for the scheme by visiting the official website and they will be able to avail the health facilities from the hospital listed by the organisation. There are more than 600 hospitals that will be providing their services towards the development of the scheme and more than 200 Government hospitals are provided by the officials which will be providing treatment facilities of up to Rupees 5 lakh. More than 1500 diseases are covered by insurance under this scheme. Some of the major surgical treatments are also included to provide insurance under this scheme and all of the treatments will be cashless and paperless. 

Features Of Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana

  • You will be able to get a cashless health insurance cover of Rupees 5 lakh per family per year.
  • The beneficiaries will be able to get cashier secondary care and tertiary care treatments in public and private hospitals in Punjab and Chandigarh. 
  • 180 packages have been reserved to provide in government hospitals of the state. 
  • You will have to register yourself to get the benefit of the scheme.
  • Under the scheme, 3-day pre-hospitalization and 15-day post-hospitalization expenditure will also be covered. 
  • The central and the state governments will bear the cost of the insurance in the decided ratio.
  • There is a large list of private and Government hospitals in Punjab and Chandigarh which will be providing health services to the beneficiaries.

The people from the following categories are eligible to get the benefit of this scheme:-

  • SECC 2011 data families,
  • Smart Ration Cardholder families,
  • J-Form holder farmers,
  • Small traders registered with the Excise & Taxation Department and
  • Construction workers registered with the Punjab Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.

Searching Criteria

The beneficiaries will be searched by the authorities based on the following search criteria:-

  • Ration Card Holder- If your ration card no is like ‘FAZ1234567’ then replace FAZ with 03000 and search with ‘030001234567’, if it is like MNS9809898 then replace MNS with 03000 and search with 030009809898. If your ration card is old, contact your local depot holder for a new smart ration card number.
  • Farmer (j_form holder) Search ID will be the First Three Characters of your District Name + the last 6 digits of aadhaar + the first four characters of your name. For example: if your name is Mohan from District Hoshiarpur with the last 6 digits of the aadhaar as 123456, then the search ID will be like HOS123456MOHA
  • Construction Worker Search ID will be the registration id issued by BOCWB, Punjab.
  • Small Trader Search ID will be the PAN card number
  • Yellow card and Accredited Journalist Search ID will be First Three Character of District Name + last 6 digits of aadhaar with a hyphen after 3 digits + first four characters of your name. For example: if your name is Harwinder from District Jalandhar with the last 6 digits of aadhaar as 123456 with a hyphen (-) in between, then search ID would be: JAL123-456HARW

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the scheme you will have to follow the simple eligibility criteria given below:-

  • The applicant must be a resident of Punjab state
  • The applicant must belong to the categories mentioned above.
  • He/She must belong below the poverty line category.
  • The applicant must hold a ration card.

Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana 2024 E Card Download

  • To download or generate e card, 154 e card generation kiosks have been set up by the Punjab government in the market committee.
  • Applicants can visit these kiosks and get their e card generated.
  • He or she has to take the required documents visiting the kiosks for e card generation.
  • You can check the list of 154 Market Committee uploaded on the website of the Yojana.
  • Applicants can also visit the nearest CSC centre or Seva Kendra to get their e card generated.

The applicant must have the following documents while visiting the e card generation centre.
Aadhar card

  • Family identification document
  • Ration card (where family members name available)
    • If the ration card is not available, then the Family Declaration form signed and stamped by Sarpanch/ Namberdaar/ Municipal Councillor.
    • Construction worker registration card (if family member details available in the card)
