What is PMMVY?
The Government of India launched PMMVY program in 2023 to provide financial assistance to pregnant mothers of India. Financial Benefits Under PMMVY
- Under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, a total assistance of ₹5000 is given to women who are pregnant for the first time.
- Under this initiative, the beneficiary woman is given three installments of Rs 1,000, Rs 2,000 and Rs 2,000 as cash assistance.
- Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) incentives will be given to candidates who fulfil the necessary conditions of the program.
- Under JSY, maternity benefits are given to the beneficiary women i.e. a woman generally gets a benefit of Rs. 6,000.
