The Ministry of Education has recently launched the Prime Minister’s scheme PM-YUVA 3.0 to mentor young writers through the Department of Higher Education. The main objective of launching this scheme is to promote reading, writing and vibrant Book culture across the country. What is PM YUVA Scheme?

Financial Benefits
- Under this Scheme, selected authors will receive a Scholarship of Rs 50,000 per month for 6 months, totaling Rs 3 lakh.
- Apart from this, additional Benefits include 10% royalty on successful Book publication. Books can be translated into regional languages to facilitate cultural exchange and promote the concept of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’.

Eligibility Criteria
- Young citizens for the third edition should not have qualified for the first or second edition of PM-Yuva.
- Young citizens should not have any personal, professional or academic obligations that interfere with the mentorship schedule during this scheme.
- Manuscript submissions will be accepted only through MyGov till 11:59 pm on 10 April 2025. The genre of entry for this scheme should be non-fiction only.
- The maximum age of young citizens eligible to avail the benefits of PM Yuva Yojana should not be less than 30 years.

Selection Process
- Under PM Yuva the young writers will be selected on the basis of the content written and submitted by them.
- Around only 50 young writers will be selected under this scheme.
- The young writers must fulfil all the eligibility criteria to confirm their selection.
- The young writers will be selected by a committee constituted by NBT.

- Step 1: First you will have to visit the official PM YUVA website.
- Step 2: Now click on the “Participate Now” option on the homepage.
- Step 3: After this, enter your Mobile Number and Password and complete the Login Process by clicking on the “Login” option.
- Step 4: A new page will appear on your desktop screen, enter all the details that are asked and attach in necessary documents.
- Step 5: After entering the details, click on the “Submit” option to complete their process.
