CTET Admit Card 2024: December Pre-Admit Card Out

Central Teacher Eligibility Test CTET Admit Card 2024 Update: Central Teacher Eligibility Test CTET Exam December 2024 has been released by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). This exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is mandatory for candidates who want to become teachers from class 1st to 8th in central or state government schools.

CTET Pre-Admit Card

CTET consists of two papers, Paper I for primary level (classes 1st to 5th) and Paper II for upper primary level (classes 6th to 8th). CTET Paper I Primary Level (Class 1st to 5th) 

The Primary Level 1ts to 5th exam is for those candidates who want to become eligible to teach children from class 1st to 5th. This exam is a mandatory qualification for entry into the teaching field. Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) are asked in the exam. Questions are mainly asked related to subjects like pedagogy, child development, language, mathematics and environmental studies.

CTET Eligibility for Paper I

Educational Qualification for Class 1-5 Teachers:

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.  OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

CTET Paper II Junior Level (Class 6th to 8th)

The CTET exam for junior level (classes 6tg to 8th) is for candidates who are interested in teaching at the secondary level. This paper II includes subjects like Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I and II, Mathematics and Science or Social Studies. The paper consists of a total of 150 questions and each question carries one mark. All candidates who clear this exam get a certificate, which is valid for seven years and serves as an important qualification in a teaching career.

CTET Eligibility for Paper II

Educational Qualification for Class 6-8 Teachers:

  • Bachelor’s degree and passed or appearing in final year of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration). OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of B.Ed. OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with 40% marks and passed or appearing in final year of B.Ed., as per NCTE norms. OR
  • Senior Secondary or its equivalent examination with minimum 50% marks and passing or appearing in the final year of Bachelor of Elementary Education of 4 years duration. OR
  • Senior Secondary or its equivalent examination with 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed or B.A./B.Sc.Ed. OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of B.Ed. programme of 1 year duration.

When will the CTET Admit Card 2024 be issued

  • The admit card for CTET 2024 will be released soon by CBSE. Candidates are advised to keep their registration number and other required documents ready to download the admit card.

  • CTET 2024 Pre-Admit Card: 03-Dec-24
  • CTET 2024 Exam Date: 14-Dec-24

Process to Download CTET Admit Card 2024 Download the admit card using the below steps:

  • Step 1: Visit the official website.
  • Step 2: Click on the Admit Card link.
  • Step 3: Enter the Application Number, Date of Birth and Security Pin.
  • Step 4: Click on the Submit button.
  • Step 5: Download the admit card and take a printout for future reference.

Exam Shifts

The CTET exam will be conducted in two shifts:

  • 1st Shift: 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
  • 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM. 

CTET Selection Process

  • Candidates can download the CTET admit card from the official website of the exam. The admit card for the CTET exam contains relevant details related to the candidate and the exam. 
  • Candidates must fill their CTET application forms online on the official website of the exam. Candidates must also pay the CTET application fee which is Rs. 1,000 (for one paper) and Rs. 1,200 (for two papers).
  • Candidates must report to their CTET exam centres at least 90 minutes before the commencement of the exam. The CTET exam is of two and a half hours duration. On the day of the exam, two papers are conducted. Paper I is to be given by candidates who wish to qualify to teach classes 1st to 5th (primary wing).  Paper II is for candidates who want to qualify to teach classes 6th to 8th (primary wing).

How to Prepare for the CTET Exam?

You need to make a solid strategy to prepare for the CTET exam. This exam is held at two levels (primary and upper primary), so you need to understand the syllabus according to your goal. First, read the CTET syllabus and exam pattern carefully. This will help you understand which subjects to focus on more. Schedule a daily study time. Give time to every subject, especially Child Development and Pedagogy, which is important for every paper. Take mock tests regularly. This will help you understand the exam pattern and time management.
