Assam Orunodoi 3.0 is a government initiative launched by the Government of Assam. The initiative primarily targets women from low-incom-e families, with an aim to enhance their financial security and overall well-being. The Assam government has taken the initiative to help the women of the state who come from the economically weaker section of the society.
For this, the state government has launched Assam Orunodoi 3.0 for the women of the state which is the third version of the scheme. 37 lakh women will be supported by this scheme, this number was 17 lakh in the previous version. Beneficiaries will get Rs 1,250 per month, up from Rs 830.

What is Assam Orunodoi 3.0?
Assam Orunodoi 3.0 is the latest version of the flagship social welfare programme launched by the Assam government, aimed at providing financial support to economically vulnerable families in the state. The initiative primarily targets women from low-income families, with an aim to enhance their financial security and overall well-being.
The Orunodoi Scheme was launched on 2nd October 2020. This upgraded version of the Orunodoi scheme aims to increase the number of beneficiaries to 37 lakh from the previous 17 lakh. Each eligible woman will get Rs 1,250 per month, an increase from the earlier amount of Rs 830.
The main objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to the economically deprived families in the state. This scheme will provide the benefits of the scheme to low-income families, under which, eligible beneficiaries receive monthly Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) into their bank accounts, which can be used for essential expenses like food, healthcare, and education.

Eligibility Criteria
To avail the benefits under the Assam Orunodoi 3.0 scheme, you must fulfil the following eligibility criteria:
- The applicant must be a female citizen.
- Applicants must be a permanent resident of Assam state.
- The annual income of the applicant’s family should be less than Rs 2 lakh.
- The age of the female applicant should be between 16 to 59 years.
