The Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has started the registration process for the Amrit Brikshya Andolan 2025. The initiative aims to carry out large-scale tree plantation and increase green cover by distributing free saplings to various groups including women, school children and NGOs.
Participants can register under the scheme through www.aba.assam.gov.in and receive financial incentives for each sapling planted. Amrit Brikshya Andolan 2025 has been launched to promote tree plantation in the state of Assam. This campaign is run with the cooperation of the government and the general public, so that climate change can be controlled and natural balance can be maintained. For this, plants will be provided free of cost to the citizens for plantation by the Assam State Forest Department. Last year, 1.19 crore saplings were planted across the state through this tree plantation campaign.
